Farmers can prepare petrol and diesel too, says Nitin Gadkari

Addressing a seminar organized by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Rajasthan, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that the Centre will soon come up with Flex Engine Policy which will give options to the drivers to drive their vehicle on petrol or 100% ethanol fuel.

Jaipur: Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday addressed a seminar organized by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Rajasthan at the state Legislative Assembly on Monday.

While addressing the seminar, Gadkari stated that the Centre will soon launch a Flex Engine Policy which will give options to the drivers to drive their vehicle on petrol or 100% ethanol fuel. He added that the system has been adopted in America, Brazil and Canada.

Addressing the concluding session of the seminar organized on the topic 'Parliamentary System and People's Expectations', Union Minister said that along with producing wheat and rice, farmers can now prepare petrol and diesel too.

Gadkari further stated that many states including Rajasthan, Karnataka, Gujarat, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Orissa and Jharkhand are facing a drinking water problem which can only be resolved with a 50% super-irrigation system.

Gadkari said that he had resolved years old water disputes of many states when he was Water Resources Minister. Surprisingly, the water of the three Indian rivers is still going to Pakistan, while Punjab and Haryana are fighting among themselves, he added.

He emphasized the conservation of water by collecting the village water in the village and city water in the city.
