Barmer (Rajasthan): A farmer died of a cardiac arrest as his crops were destroyed by a swarm of Locusts in Gudamalani, Rajasthan.
Nimbaram, a resident of Bhimgarh Peepali, was so shocked to see his ravaged crops that he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was taken to hospital however he could not be saved.
The body of the deceased farmer was handed over to his family after the post-mortem.
The Locusts swarm has been causing extensive damages to the crops in the area with most of the farmers losing their standing crops.
According to the brother of the deceased, the farmer had taken a KCC loan of 3 lakh 70 thousand and has sown the seeds on the farm which was destroyed by the locusts.
A video has also gone viral in which Nimbaram is seen chasing away the insects by beating two plates.
