Dalit woman beaten to death in Rajasthan

A Dalit woman named Kalpana Meghwal was beaten to death in Rajasthan's Chhatargarh, following a conflict between two families. Two people were arrested in this regard and police have started a manhunt to nab the third accused.

Bikaner:A Dalit woman at Kharbara village in Rajasthan's Chhatargarh was brutally beaten to death, following a conflict between two families, police said.

The conflict took place between Satyaveer Jat and Omprakash Meghwal on February 17 at the shop of the former, said police.

Following the conflict, Kalpana, wife of Omprakash Meghwal arrived at the shop of Satyaveer Jat to clarify the confusion but was brutally beaten up by the later's family on February 18.

Being injured Kalpana Meghwal was rushed to the hospital where she died during the treatment, police added.

A murder case has been registered against 3 accused at Chhatargarh police station.

Police have arrested 2 accused in this regard, and keep searching for the third accused.

Meanwhile, the deceased's body was sent for autopsy.
