Cop booked for rape in Alwar

A rape case has been filed against a police constable in Alwar of Rajasthan. According to the complaint, the he was sexually assaulting her for a long time by threatening that he would put the video on internet.

Alwar: An FIR has been registered against a police constable for allegedly raping a woman for several times during the past two-three months, police said.

The 32-year-old victim said in her complaint that the police constable, who was posted at Raini police station, was continuously sexually assaulting her and when she tried to file a complaint against him, the police did pay any attention to it.

The complainant also alleged in her report that she was being pressurized to settle the matter without filing a complaint.

The victim's complaint was finally registered after she met Superintendent of Police, Alwar, Tejaswini Gautam, who ordered immediate registration of the complaint.

Gautam said that the case has been registered and the probe is on. "Additional SP will monitor the probe," she said.
