Congress leader Vishvendra Singh demands CBI enquiry in Churu SHO suicide case

Congress leader and Rajasthan's Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh demanded a CBI enquiry in the suicide case of Station house officer (SHO) Vishnudutt Bishnoi. He had committed suicide by hanging himself in his government residence on Saturday morning.

Jaipur (Rajasthan):After several BJP leaders demanded a CBI probe in the suicide case of Churu district police station officer Vishnudutt Vishnoi, Congress leader and Rajasthan's Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh took to Twitter on Thursday and demanded an impartial investigation in the case.

Earlier on Saturday, an SHO (Station House Officer) posted at Rajgarh police station in Churu district committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling fan at his official residence.

Soon after the suicide, several political leaders of Rajasthan demanded a CBI probe in the matter.

Nagaur Rashtriya Loktantrik Party leader tweeted, "The SHO's suicide has raised many questions on the system. The Chief Minister should issue a statement."

The Churu police have invested the matter and found two suicide letters from the residence of the SHO. In the letter addressed to District Superintendent of Police, Vishnoi had said to be under pressure from regional political parties.

The opposition parties and social activists alleged that Congress MLA Krishna Poonia used to pressurise Vishnoi and other policemen to do arbitrary work.
