Kota (Rajasthan): At least 25 cattle, including cows and buffaloes, were found dead in a canal near Sarola Marg in Rajasthan's Kota on Saturday.
According to initial reports, the incident was reported from Sultanpur village when some locals noticed the carcasses of over two dozen cattle in a drain adjacent to the national highway and informed the police.
Meanwhile, activists from various right-wing organisations such as Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad reached the spot and started protesting against the administration.

"If they will not nab the culprits within 24 hours, VHP along with Bajrang Dal will launch a nationwide protest against the people responsible for the incident", said VHP district in-charge Indari Meena.
While speaking to ETV Bharat over the killing of the cattle, Tehsildar Amod Mathur said that they had informed the Sultanpur SHO regarding the case and assured those people responsible for the mass killing of the sacred animal would be under the radar of the police.
