Barmer:Border Security Force jawans foiled an infiltration bid killing two intruders who despite warning from personnel tried entering the Indian side near the Barmerwala check post in Rajstahn's Barmer district late on Monday night.
According to a top police official, after noticing two intruders trying to illegally enter the Indian side through the check post, the BSF jawans first warned them asking them to desist from the act. Despite the warning, intruders showed their desperation to sneak through the border outpost. On this, the soldiers of the Border Security Force fired and killed both the intruders.

Additional Superintendent of Police Satyendra Pal Singh confirmed the incident. Giving detail of the incident, the official said the BSF had no option but to neutralise the intruders, who were first warned. The area falls under Gadrarod Police Station limits. After getting information about the incident on the border, the top officials of BSF and police rushed to the spot. BSF has started a search operation to get to the root of the case. Security forces are trying to ascerain if the killed intruders were part of a drug cartel and tried to supply contraband through the border route.
Last December, a Pakistani intruder was killed by the Border Security Force jawans along the Indo-Pak international border in state's Sriganganagar. The intruder was trying to enter the Indian border through Harmukh post near Shrikaranpur. Match sticks, cigarettes, Pakistani currency and a rope were recovered from the killed intruder.
