BJP to wait till picture get clearer in Rajasthan: Gulab Chand Kataria

Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan assembly Gulab Chand Kataria has said the BJP would make his next move only knowing the kind of support the Ashok Gehlot camp and the Sachin Pilot faction have.

Jaipur: Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan assembly Gulab Chand Kataria has said the BJP would still wait and watch as far as political developments in the state are concerned and until the situation in the ruling Congress gets clearer as to who has how many MLAs with him.

Interacting with the ETV Bharat here, Kataria said the BJP is in no hurry to ask the Ashok Gehlot led government for a floor test. "We are still watching the developments. Situation is not very clear. Let it become clear and then we will make our move accordingly," he said, adding that, "Sachin Pilot, who has been removed by the Congress as a Deputy Chief Minister and also as party chief in the state, would have taken such an action after due thought."

We will move forward only after knowing which group has how many MLAs with it," he said.

On being asked if the BJP was in talks with the independent MLAs, he said being in touch with independents legislators is no big deal as anyone can speak to them or get in touch with them. "We got in touch with them for Rajya Sabha elections, seeking their support," he said.

"Nothing wrong with that," Kataria said, and added that if need be the party would seek their support in future too. He indicated that floor test should be asked for only after situation becomes clear, otherwise it would of no use for the opposition.
