Jaipur (Rajasthan):After the Gujarat Congress shifted some of its MLAs to a resort at Abu Road in Sirohi district of neighbouring Rajasthan over fear of 'poaching' by the BJP ahead of the Rajya Sabha polls, deputy leader of opposition in Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Rajendra Singh Rathore alleged Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot led government of flaunting the lockdown norms and promoting 'resort politics' in the state.
According to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, hotels and shopping malls were restricted to operate to arrest the spread of coronavirus until June 7.
"In the name of 'political tourism', the state government profaned the lockdown guidelines. They have violated the Rajasthan Epidemic Act 2020 and Rajasthan Disaster Act 2005. It seems the norms are different for these people," Rathore said.
