A man with the help of an NGO met his family after a year. The sister spotted her brother in a famous television show Kaun Banega Crorepati, after which she contacted the NGO and met her missing brother.

Bharatpur (Rajasthan):A man, who went missing from a railway station, was finally united with his family after a year, here on Wednesday.

The man identified as Satyanarayan, hailing from the Bharatpur district of Rajasthan had gone missing.

Days later, he was found by a Non- Governmental Organisation (NGO), Apna Ghar Ashram at Shalawad railway gate in Bayana district in a miserable condition.

Apna Ghar – a chain of shelters for the homeless, treated the mentally unstable Satyanarayan and proper treatment was given to him.

Recently, in a Kaun Banega Crorepati, an Indian television game show ran a special episode in which Apna Ghar Ashram participated.

When the show was aired, Satyanarayan's sister Sharmishtha spotted her brother on television and contacted the Ashram via social media.

While speaking to ETV Bharat, Sharmishtha said, "The moment I saw Satyanarayan my eyes brimmed with tears. We tried to find him everywhere, but we couldn't. I heartily thank Apna Ghar Ashram for taking care of my brother. "

After proper verification, the ashram confirmed that her lost brother Satyanarayan was with them, and without wasting time she reached Apna Ghar Ashram at Rajasthan's Bharatpur to bring the lost brother back.

The administrative officer of Apna Ghar Ashram Babita Gulati said, "As soon as Satyanarayan was found, we took him to the ashram. His mental condition was not stable due to which he was given treatment in the Ashram."

She further said, "Satyanarayan is in better health now as he recognised his family and he will be sent home soon after completing all the formalities."

The siblings thanked Apna Ghar Ashram for the help and ETV Bharat's reportage.
