Jaipur (Rajasthan): Everyone has their way of paying tribute to those soldiers who lay down their life for the motherland. Chandra Prakash Gupta, a painter, from Jaipur has paid his tribute to the soldiers who got martyred in the Kargil war. In the last 20 years, the artist has made more than 270 oil paintings of sons of the soil, which he gives to relatives of the martyrs.
He said that he always wanted to do something for those who sacrificed their lives for the motherland and that is why he began oil painting, he has also recently completed an oil painting of Seekar resident, Delhi police constable Ratanlal who passed away in the Delhi riots. He also said that once the lockdown ends he will himself go and gift the painting to the martyred constable’s family.

He told correspondents that to gift his first oil painting, he went to Kota to meet the family of Anil Ahuja who was martyred in the Kargil war. He has made oil paintings of Pulwama martyrs too.
Chandra Prakash Gupta recently made the oil painting of 22-year-old martyr soldier Saurabh Katara and gifted it to his family.
