Alleged tantric burns minor girl alive, self-immolates in Rajasthan

Petrol bottles and other things were lying around the hole from which the bodies were retrieved.

Barmer: An alleged tantric in Barmer's Sarhadi burned himself along with a ten-year-old on Friday reportedly as part of some ritual.

When the news came to light, the police reached the spot immediately and took the bodies for post-mortem.

Petrol bottles and other things were lying around the hole from which the bodies were retrieved.

The victim's father in a written complaint said that Kisturam used to roam around in Nivaad for the last two years. He used to stay in the hole he had dug in Bhabu's field. "On Friday, he burned my daughter alive and then set himself on fire too," the father said.

According to reports, Kisturam had come to India in 2014 on visa and used to stay in India illegally.

The police have registered a complaint based on the victim's father's account and an investigation has also been initiated.
