Man arrested for attempting to rape minor in Rajasthan

On Saturday afternoon, the victim's parents left her at her maternal grandmother's house and left for work. While she was playing outside, Ismail, their neighbour took the girl to his house and tried to rape her.

Ramganj Mandi (Kota):A 21-year-old man was arrested by police after he allegedly tried to rape an eight-year-old girl on October 3.

The complaint was filed by the victim's family after local children informed them of the incident.

On Saturday afternoon, the victim's parents left her at her maternal grandmother's house and left for work. While she was playing outside, Ismail, their neighbour took the girl to his house.

When she started screaming, other children who were also playing went to Ismail's house. That's when an alerted Ismail let the child go.

The children then alerted the victim's family, who lodged a complaint with the police.

Magjamandi Deputy Superintendent Manjit Singh said that the family of the girl filed a complaint at Suket police station that Ismail took the girl to his house and tried to rape her.

The police have arrested the accused and further investigation is on.
