115 iron nails recovered from a man's stomach in Rajasthan

115 iron nails along with a wire and a knife were taken out of a young man's stomach. The iron nails recovered were around 6.5cm long. Doctors were left surprised saying it is first such case in Rajasthan.

Bundi:In a rare surgery, the doctors of the district hospital in Bundi took out 115 nails from a patient's stomach. The doctors were stunned and wondered how the patient survived for so many days.

The patient Bhola Shankar came to the hospital two days before the operation, after conducting an X-ray and CT scan the doctors found a bunch of iron nails in the patient's stomach. During the operation, doctors had to remove the iron nails one by one and also found a knife along with a wire. The condition of the patient is now stable and his relatives are thanking the doctors.

Anil Saini the doctor who conducted the operation said, the length of the iron nails that came out of Shankar's stomach was around 6 -6.5 cm long. Shankar has been mentally ill and is currently admitted in the hospital. He refused to reveal anything about eating the iron nails.
