Sikh community slaps case against Sunny Deol

A complaint has been filed against Sunny Deol by a Batala-based Sikh delegation for hurting their religious sentiments. The objection came after a picture of the actor went viral on social media.

Batala: Actor Sunny Deol has landed in controversy for allegedly hurting the sentiments of a religious body. A Sikh delegation from Batala has approached the Akal Takht to file a complaint against the actor for disrespecting their culture and religion.

Recently, a picture on social media went viral in which the frame of Lord Shiva and their religious siropa were seen near the feet of the actor. However, this didn't go down well with the followers of the Sikh community and activists following which, a Sikh delegation from Batala has decided to take strict action against the actor.

Sunny is contesting from the Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab as BJP candidate in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The 'Gadar' actor is busy in his political rallies and could not respond to the allegations.

This is not the first time that Sunny has brewed controversy. Previously, the Congress party has also approached the police to take an action against the actor.

In the complaint, the Sikh community stated that as soon as Sunny Deol went atop a truck he put the siropa next to his feet and that he hasn’t apologized for the mistake.

According to the reports, the Akal Takht has received the complaint and are yet to take an action against Deol.
