Chandigarh:Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has once again advised Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's government on the issue of electricity in the state.
Sidhu wrote in a tweet that the power purchase agreements signed by the former CM Parkash Singh Badal should be canceled to fulfil the 18-point agenda set by the Punjab government high command. Therefore, Punjab Legislative Assembly should convene a session to make a law to fix the electricity prices as per the National Power Exchange.

In another tweet, Sidhu mentioned that Punjab is already giving a subsidy of Rs 9,000 crore on electricity. He suggested a cut in electricity price per unit from Rs 10-12 to Rs 3-4 along with providing 300 units for free. He also urged the state to offer 24-hour power supply for the domestic and industrial sectors.
