India takes 90 foreign envoys to Kartarpur Sahib

Foreign envoys are taken to the Kartarpur corridor by the government of India on the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. Both countries are to sign the Kartarpur Corridor agreement on October 23.

New Delhi:With the clock ticking for the opening of the Kartarpur corridor, the government of India has taken 90 foreign envoys to Amritsar on the occasion of Guru Nanak Dev's 550th birth anniversary.

Minister of Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri and foreign envoys on board the flight taken to Kartarpur Sahib, on Tuesday.

These foreign heads of the mission were accompanied by former diplomat and Minister of Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri.

From Amritsar, they will visit the Sri Harminder Sahib. And after spending the entire afternoon there, these foreign heads of the mission will return to Amritsar and board flight for Delhi.

Pakistan's name has not been included in the list of 90 foreign delegates visiting Sri Harminder Sahib. Both India and Pakistan will be celebrating 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev in a big way.

Despite India expressing its discontent regarding the $20 service fee to be collected by Pakistan authorities from pilgrims visiting the holy shrine, both countries will sign the Kartarpur Corridor agreement on Oct 23.
