Hoshiarpur: An Indian Air Force (IAF) plane reportedly crashes into a field in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. According to reports, the pilot ejected to safety and is expected to have landed safely.

IAF MiG-29 fighter jet crashes in Punjab, pilot safe
According to reports, MiG-29 aircraft airborne which was on a training mission from an Air Force base near Jalandhar met with an accident. The aircraft had reportedly developed a technical snag. The pilot has been subsequently rescued by a helicopter.

"A MiG-29 fighter aircraft crashed today near Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. The pilot managed to eject safely," IAF official said.
A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of accident. More details awaited.
