Hyderabad: Fugitive gangster Goldie Brar, who is on the NIA radar for killing Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has featured among 25 Canada’s 'Top 25 Most Wanted Fugitives'.
Canada government has placed Brar on the “Be on the Look Out” (BOLO) list. Earlier, Goldie's name had surfaced along with fellow gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. A list issued by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) also placed Brar on top of total of 28 gangsters in India. Media reports suggested Canada and US are the favourite destinations of gangsters wanted in India. Nine gangsters took refuge in Canada and five others in the US, reports said.
Sidhu Moosewala's murder case brought Brar, who goes by the name of Satinderjit Singh, into the limelight for the act. A red notice has also been issued against him by the Interpol. According to intelligence inputs, Brar, who had his base in Canada earlier, is currently hiding in America to evade arrest.
