Jalandhar (Punjab):In view of the surge of Covid-19 cases in the state, JalandharDeputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori Saturday has set up an oxygen concentrator bank at the Red Cross Bhawan in Jalandhar City, where 30 oxygen concentrators are kept.
This initiative is taken in accordance with providing oxygen to those facing an oxygen crunch while taking Covid-19 treatment at home.
A patient can get the concentrator on the basis of a prescription by a doctor at Rs 200 per day rent with refundable security of Rs 5,000.
Giving the briefing about the facility, the DC said, "This decision has been taken, considering the number of Covid-19 patients in Jalandhar. The oxygen concentrators will be given to those fighting the virus while taking medication at home."
