Capt hits back at Congress after party says no space for anger in politics

Party took a dig at Captain just a day after he made controversial remarks against his party's central leadership and his rival Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Responding to media over a question if the party will take any disciplinary action against Captain Amarinder Singh for his derogatory remark? Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said "Old people can get angry sometimes. They say unusual things at times."

She further added, "Captain is a senior leader and warrior of Congress party. He has been made Chief Minister of Punjab by the Congress party for 9.5 years. But I feel that there is no space for anger and jealousy in politics. Hence, Amarinder Singh should once again think maturely over his statement."

Reacting to her statement, Captain said, "Yes, there's no space for anger in politics. But is there space for humiliation & insult in a grand old party like Congress? If a senior party leader like me can be treated like this, I wonder what the workers must go through!"

On Wednesday, Captain had launched a scathing attack on Sidhu by saying that he is ready to make any sacrifice to stop Sidhu from becoming Punjab CM and will pit a strong person against him to ensure his defeat in the 2022 Assembly polls.

He also called the Gandhi siblings "inexperienced" and "misguided" by their advisors.
