Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday told the newly constituted state Congress leadership that all the key issues of concern raised by them were already in advanced stages of resolution by his government, which had been working on them in close coordination with the party.
The new PPCC leadership team, led by Navjot Sidhu, had called on the Chief Minister and submitted a letter listing out some issues as needing urgent settlement. PPCC working presidents Kuljit Singh Nagra, Sangat Singh Gilzian, Sukhwinder Singh Danny and Pawan Goel had accompanied Sidhu to their first meeting with the Chief Minister since taking over the state Congress reins.
Noting that his government had already implemented most of the promises made to the people in the 2017 party election manifesto, the Chief Minister told the party’s state leadership that the other pending issues were also being resolved.
His government was committed to the implementation of all the poll promises, Captain Amarinder later said, describing the meeting as cordial.
