Government Chief Whip Pramila Mallik moved a proposal for adjournment of the House for an indefinite period which was supported by BJD legislator Amar Prasad Satpathy and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh.
Opposing the ruling party’s proposal, Congress legislator Tara Prasad Bahinipati said," There were lots of issues to be discussed and debate on adjournment notices are yet to be held. The State government did not take the Opposition into confidence on the proposal moved by the Government Chief Whip. There is a need to run the House for a few more days."
