'Shraddha Sanjivani', a ray of hope for HIV-affected in Odisha

Established on December 21, 2007 by Ganjam district administration at Gopalpur, the organisation plays a vital role in educating and adding the virus-infected children to the mainstream of the society.

The public welfare programme has changed the lives of more than 85 children out which some emerged as IITians and entrepreneurs.

The organisation takes care of these affected children and ensures their wellbeing.

The home offers nutritious food, teaches yoga, tailoring and computer to these children. Moreover, it provides sanitary pads to girls living there.

Concerned over their physical fitness, the organisation also ensures training on various sports and healthcare activities so that they can overcome any difficulties in the future.

Ganjam witnessed a rise in HIV affected patients as most of the people are migrant labourers here who move to other states in search of work and get affected with the virus there.
