Student dies while playing cricket in Odisha

Satyajit felt unwell during a cricket match at Kendrapada Autonomous College ground this afternoon. He fell unconscious and was rushed to the Kendrapada DHH for treatment, where doctor declared him dead.

Kendrapada (Odisha): A class 12 student of Derabish college in Odisha's Kendrapada died while playing cricket on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Satyajit Pradhan (18) of the same locality.

According to sources, Satyajit felt unwell during a cricket match at Kendrapada Autonomous college ground this afternoon. He fell unconscious and was rushed to the Kendrapada DHH for treatment, where doctor declared him brought dead.

Pradhan might have died of heart attack, police said, quoting the hospital authorities.

Meanwhile, police have started an investigation into the incident and have sent the body for postmortem, sources added.
