Odisha IPS officer helped source camel milk for an autistic child

In a humanitarian gesture during the nationwide COVID-19 induced lockdown, the senior IPS officer Arun Bothra has brought camel milk from Rajasthan to Odisha's Ganjam district to save an autistic child.

Berhampur (Odisha):In a humanitarian gesture during the nationwide COVID-19 induced lockdown, the senior IPS officer Arun Bothra has brought camel milk from Rajasthan to Odisha's Ganjam district to save an autistic child.

According to sources, the milk was transported in two days by parcel express via Delhi and Howrah and then delivered to the autistic child's family member at Berhampur.

The milk was sourced from Rajasthan with the help of Odisha cadre IPS officer Arun Bothra, who is now the CEO of CESU.

One Sushant Mishra of Berhampur in Ganjam district needed camel milk for his three and a half years old autistic son. He was getting consignment of camel milk from Rajasthan during normal time. However, he could not get milk due to the nationwide lockdown, sources said.

Mishra first requested Ganjam district administration and then Bothra, who forwarded the message to IRTS-Setu for the delivery of camel milk.

10 liters of camel milk along with the two packets of milk powder finally reached the destination to the needful child. The parents of the child thanked the IPS officer for his help, sources added.
