Odisha: Mother kills sons aged 4 and 6 before committing suicide

A woman in Kalahandi district of Odisha committed suicide after killing his sons. She was upset about the extra-marital affair of her husband.

Kalahandi (Odisha): A woman committed suicide after killing her two sons in Singhjharan village of Odisha's Kalahandi district.

Local residents initially spotted the body of the woman on the railway track and then immediately informed the police. On reaching the spot, the police recovered the bodies for postmortem.

The bodies of her sons were recovered from their house. The woman slitting their throats before jumping in front of a train.

The deceased woman has been identified as Bimla Manjhi and the kids were identified as Ravindra (4) and Dushmant (6).

According to the sources, Bimla was upset about the extra-marital affair of her husband which may have led her to take this extreme step.

Police are further investigating the matter.
