Berhampur(Odisha):It is believed in the Indian culture that marriages are predetermined in heaven.

A living example of this belief is Madan Mohan of Tirupati has tied the knot with Soumya, a physically challenged girl of Berhampur.

As the marriage was solemnized without any dowry, the happiness in the family of G Narsimha Swamy, the father of the girl knew no bounds.

Soumya had lost her vision in 2007 after being affected by cerebral malaria. Her family was worried about her future as well as marriage.

However, they had not imagined that a proposal for her marriage would come from Madan, son of G. Venkatsimadri and a serving priest of Balaji Temple of Tirupati.

Without any hesitation, both the families gave their consent for the marriage.

Meanwhile, Madan has great hope that Soumya would certainly get back her vision by the blessings of Lord of Tirupati.

His decision of choosing a visually impaired girl as his life partner has conveyed a message of an ideal marriage to others at a time when marriages are generally settled after considering the educational qualification and other materialistic aspects of the probable bride.
