Bhubaneswar: BJP's spokesperson and candidate for Puri Lok Sabha constituency Sambit Patra's poll campaign drew criticism on social media for the failure of Ujjwala Yojana.
Patra shared a video on Twitter as a part of his poll campaign in which he was seen having food cooked by a woman in a poor household in Puri district of Odisha. He was sighted sharing the food with the woman cooking and serving them.
He wrote sharing the video, "This is my house. The mother served me food cooked by her. I also fed her. I know serving humans is serving God."
Unfortunately, the woman in the video was cooking the food on a wood fire and serving it to Sambit Patra and his campaign team.
Patra was trolled on social media as criticisms poured in regarding the failure of Ujjwala scheme which ensures LPG connections to women hailing from Below Poverty Line (BPL) households.
