Covid infections in minors nearing 1000-mark in Odisha

According to government reports, 948 children have been infected by virus in the last eight days. However the state government has kept details of child infections between August 15 and 22.

Bhubaneswar:The number of childhood Covid infections in the state is on the rise as the number of daily infections is declining. According to government reports, 948 children have been infected in the state in the last eight days. However, the state government has kept details of child infections between August 15 and 22.

According to the state government, 138 children were infected on August 15, 104 on August 16, 96 on August 17, 138 on August 18, 128 on August 19, 116 on August 20, 116 on August 21 and 100 on August 21.

However, in view of the possible third wave, many arrangements have been made at the state government hospital for children. Special attention is being paid to increasing the number of beds and ICUs in hospitals. Doctors with special training to treat infected children have also been instructed to be prepared.
