With no option left, Mangala, along with her family members, walked six kilometres to reach the nearest hospital from the village. After reaching the hospital near Basmat, doctors examined her and declared that the baby had died in the womb.

The woman's family has lodged a police complaint in this regard. The police superintendent has assured the grieving mother that necessary action would be ensured against those responsible, including the driver of the passenger vehicle.
