Shirdi Sai Mandir suggests dress code for devotees

As the Shirdi Sai Mandir has been opened once again for darshan of Sai Baba after lockdown, a large number of visitors are visiting. But trust officials noticed that some of the devotees were not wearing the right clothes.

Shirdi (Maharashtra):Indian attire has been made compulsory for devotees in Tirupati temple. On close heels, Shirdi Sai Baba temple trust has urged visitors to wear outfits which are in line with Indian culture.

Sai trust has decided not to allow devotees in temple premises wearing outfits others than Indian. Sai trust executive officer Kanhuraj Bagate says that the trust has made this rule in accordance with suggestions by Sai devotees. They have also erected boards instructing visitors about it.

Many devotees have welcomed the decision taken by the Shirdi trust. Some devotees opined that, for young girls visiting the temple, jeans and T-shirts are part of the attire, but they must not be too short.
