Pune: Two brothers in Maharashtra state died of Covid-19 within a span of 12 hours, reports said on Tuesday.
Satish Kundalik Gavare and Dattatray Kundalik Gavare were residents of Vitthalwadi in Shirur district.

On May 1 Satish Gavare contracted Covid-19 and he was admitted to a private hospital in Shikrapur and later shifted to a hospital in Pune after his health deteriorated.
After two days, on May 3, his brother Dattatray Gavare was also infected. Satish Gavare lost his life and a couple of hours later on the next day Dattatray Gavare also died. It was a massive blow for the Gavare family to lose two earning members at the same time.

The Gavare family was looked upon as a model family. The eldest daughter Harshda Gaware Wanjale, Satish Gaware was the second and Dattatray Gaware was the third child. Wanjale is the wife of late MLA Ramesh Wanjale.
