Jalna(Maharashtra): Amid the nationwide lockdown to contain the spread of COVID-19, many people belonging to other states are stranded in Maharashtra.
As some of these people are unable to go back to their hometowns, they sometimes out of desperation leave by foot for their hometowns walking thousands of Kilometres.
Out of the same desperation, three youths who were were stranded in Jalna, Maharashtra started cycling to Unnao in Uttar Pradesh.
The youths had bought bicycles worth Rs 4,000 to return to their home state. However, as soon as they started, they came to know that a train would leave for Uttar Pradesh. After that, the youth reached Jalna railway station. However, as per the rules of the railways, bicycles are not allowed to be carried. With this, young boys then dismantled the bicycles.
However, the railway authorities did not allow them to carry the spare parts as well after which they packed the spare parts in bags. Women police constables posted at the railway station helped them to pack the spare parts.
The youths were then allowed to travel by train with the spare parts of their bicycles following which they boarded the train and left for their home states.
