Akshay Baburao Gadling from Tivsa is a son of a scrap dealer and has become the Deputy Collector after clearing his Maharashtra Public Service Commission examination. With his dedication and strong determination towards his passion for learning and carrier, he has proved that education opens the door to success.

Amravati (Maharashtra):Becoming an exception to the society, Akshay Baburao Gadling, who is a son of a scrap dealer, has cleared Maharashtra Public Service Commission examination in his thirties with flying colours and has become the Deputy Collector.

His father used to travel around the villages on a bicycle to buy scrap. He also runs a business of selling rangoli.

Keeping in mind the struggle faced by his father to make him an officer, Akshay has set an example of extraordinary determination and hard work by never losing focus.

Akshay managed to get admission in coachings in Delhi through various government schemes as he could not afford expensive tuition owing to financially weak conditions of his family.

His dedication towards achieving his goal has motivated him to spend hours doing self-study at Rajshri Shahu Maharaj Library in Tivsa after he lost the post of Tehsildar in his previous attempt by three points.

Giving credits to his parents, friends and teachers for his success by trusting and guiding him each time, Akshay said, "My father is a ninth-grader and my mother is a fourth-grader. Despite all odds, they never let me down."

Akshay also thanked Assistant Police Inspector Ashish Borkar, who gave him free tuition to prepare him for the State Service Commission while being posted at Tivasa police station.

At times, Borkar also used to cater to the financial needs of Akshay by providing him adequate study material including expensive books.

The success of the new Deputy Collector is cheered by everyone known.
