Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has written a scathing letter to Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari after the latter released a coffee table book on his first anniversary as governor of the State.
Pawar wrote the letter after he received a copy of the coffee table book titled 'Jan Rajyapal' which was published by the Rajbhavan secretariat on the first anniversary of Koshayari's governorship in Maharashtra. In the letter laced with subtle taunts and sarcasm, the NCP chief lambasted governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari in severe language.
In the letter, Pawar thanked him on receiving the 'self-published coffee table book' about his one year tenure. However, he said there is no term as 'Jan Rajyapal' in the Indian Constitution.
Taking a dig at the governor, Pawar added that the book has included photographs of receptions, convocation, meetings with highly placed dignitaries and other social and cultural programs, but of swearing-in ceremonies.
