New Delhi:The Supreme Court on Tuesday reserved its order on Rhea Chakraborty's plea seeking transfer of cases regarding Sushant Singh Rajput's death from Bihar to Mumbai.
A single-judge bench of Justice Hrishikesh Roy also allowed all parties in the case to file written submissions by Thursday.
The central government emphasised on the need of a fair, truth-eliciting CBI investigation in the matter.
Maharashtra contended that Bihar had no jurisdiction over the case that it transferred the CBI.
"Sushant's father lives in Bihar, sister lives in Chandigarh and only the Supreme Court can rule on extraordinary circumstances requiring to transfer the investigation," senior Advocate AM Singhvi appearing for Maharashtra government said.
He also said that the father did not file any complaint with Maharashtra Police.
