Nandurbar (Maharashtra): A part of the road caved in the Maharashtra-Gujarat border on Tuesday affecting Navapur taluka of Maharashtra and Ahwa village of Dang district in Gujarat following torrential rain in the region.
Navapur-Ahwa highway on Maharashtra-Gujarat border has collapsed on Tuesday. The road has been temporarily closed. Incessant rainfall across Maharashtra has led to flood-like situation damaging property.
The administration has also warned of heavy rainfall in Navapur taluka.
As the Navapur-Ahwa highway is one way it has been closed temporarily making the life of commuters difficult.
The road has been closed temporarily During monsoon, many people travel from Maharashtra to Gujarat's tourist destinations such as Girmal waterfall, Shabri Dham and Saputara.
The local residents are demanding the public works department to immediately fix the road.
