Pune man dies, as ambulance driver denies service

A 57-year-old, Yesudas Moti Francis lost his life due to a stubborn ambulance driver who refused to provide timely service to the deceased in Maharashtra's Pune. The incident took place on Thursday night.

Pune (Maharashtra): Amid the COVID-19 lockdown, while everyone is praising the work by the front line fighters, including ambulance drivers, a man in Maharashtra's Pune lost his life due to a stubborn ambulance driver.

The incident took place on Thursday night and the deceased has been identified as, 57-year-old Yesudas Moti Francis.

Sudhir Dhavale, a local resident informed that Yesudas experienced uneasiness on Thursday midnight and sat on a chair outside his house. Following which an ambulance was called, but the driver refused to reach the spot.

Police were reportedly informed about it, and they too tried to contact the ambulance but in vain.

Even after three and a half hours, there was no help provided by the ambulance service. The locals somehow managed to carry Yesudas and requested a tempo driver to take him to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
