Earlier, a June 4 order directed the state government to hold fresh counselling session for admission in PG medical and dental courses, and also barred students from changing their options which they filled at the time of applying.

The order came after a bunch of students filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding fresh round of counselling and admissions after the state government removed EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) quota on SC's order.

Now, the students have come forward seeking the option of changing the course options before the counselling dates.

Besides, the applications were filled between March 30 and April 2 and the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota was implemented on March 7 due to which options were restricted.

Since then the apex court has ordered reversion of EWS quota to the general category.

However, the court had also said that students won't be permitted to make any changes in the application.
