Rajgarh:The National Chairman of Child Protection Commission on Saturday took cognizance in the matter of the death of ten infants in Maharashtra's Bhandara government hospital and sought a report from the district collector within 48 hours.
Priyank Kanungo, the Chairman added that the hospital will be held responsible for the negligence in the very unfortunate incident and the Commission will continue its work till the convicts get the appropriate punishment.
"The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has a variety of guidelines for keeping a newborn baby, what should be the arrangement of Special Newborn Care Units (SNCU), what should be the arrangement of Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) everything is mentioned. But here, it's the case of fire due to a short circuit and is a matter of direct administrative negligence. No culprit will be spared in this," Kanungo said.
