MVA will complete its five-year term, says NCP chief Sharad Pawar

NCP chief Sharad Pawar, while interacting with journalists at his residence at Govindbagh in Baramati, said that the Mahavikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra will complete its five-year term.

Pune (Maharashtra): NCP chief Sharad Pawar has said that the Mahavikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra will complete its five-year term. "The Mahavikas Aghadi government was formed in the state to tackle some issues. Some disagreements always arise while running a government. A mechanism is in place to find a way out of it. Therefore, this government will last for five years," said Pawar.

Pawar was interacting with journalists at his residence at Govindbagh in Baramati today. Talking about speculations of Congress fighting the next election on their own, he said that all three parties in the state government play their own part and to increase the size of a political party is another matter altogether. "It is natural for any political party to try to increase its organizational strength. All our parties agree on this endeavour," he said.

"There are no differences. Discussions were held so that there would be no differences between the three parties. Accordingly, Ajit Pawar, Jayant Patil, Subhash Desai, Eknath Shinde, Balasaheb Thorat and Ashok Chavan are working to coordinate. For any important strategic question, these six colleagues sit together and decide on it," Pawar clarified.

RBI has recently issued a new order saying that the people's representatives would no longer be allowed to chair cooperative banks. Talking about this development, Pawar said the RBI is an institution that controls finances and related institutions. "So if they have made a strategic decision, I'll have to read about it. However, if they have taken any decision, we will have to accept it," Pawar said.
