In the first and second waves of the corona, all sectors were hit and the Dabbawalas were no exception.
They deliver lunch boxes from home to office even during the Covid-19 times. Now, the Mumbai Dabbawalas Association has urged the government for financial assistance.
Subhash Talekar said that ‘Dabbawalas, who were once known as 'management gurus', are now in debt.’ He also requested that the government should offer Rs 5,000 per month to these Dabbawalas during this ongoing Covid-19 crisis.
