Mumbai:A Mumbai man who tried committing suicide while live-streaming the whole process was saved due to the vigilance of the Mumbai Police's Cyber Department who tracked him down and took him to the hospital on time.
Dnyanesh Patil from Dhule attempted to commit suicide while doing Facebook Live. That's when the video was seen by Facebook officials in Ireland. They immediately informed the Mumbai Cyber Police who gave all the details of the youth to the Dhule police.
Patil had given three phone numbers on Facebook in the information section. All three mobile numbers were blocked, however, the Mumbai Police was able to track the youth's house within five minutes. When they reached the spot, they noticed that the man was attempting suicide. He was immediately rushed to the hospital by the police.
Similar incident during lockdown
On 8 August 2020, when a man shared some videos on Facebook regarding suicide, a video monitor at a Facebook office in Ireland became suspicious. They immediately informed the Delhi Cyber Police that he was giving the IP address and registered mobile number of the person concerned. Delhi Police launched an investigation into the matter and found the number was registered in the name of a woman from Delhi.
