Mumbai: Baggage container rolls off, hits parked Vistara flight due to gusty winds

An empty baggage container of an airline hit a Vistara aircraft, that was parked at Mumbai airport, and dented it. The container was propelled by strong winds around the area.

Mumbai: A Vistara Airline aircraft parked at the Mumbai airport was dented after an empty baggage container of another airline, propelled by gusty wind, accidentally rolled off and hit the starboard side of one of its engines.

Vistara's spokesperson said, "The incident happened on Saturday, and there were no passengers or crew aboard."

"The aircraft will be grounded for some time for repair work and consequentially affect our schedule on some routes," he added.

An official statement issued by the airlines said,"Any inconvenience caused to customers in the form of delay or cancellation is regretted."
