Maharashtra: Minor married girl raped by 400 people in 6 months

Ambejogai police have registered a case in this regard on the complaint of the girl. The girl is 20 weeks pregnant and is being treated at the district hospital.

Beed: In the latest sexual assault incident which is nothing short of disturbing, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by 400 people including a cop, over the last six months in Maharashtra’s Beed district. She is now 20 weeks pregnant and is undergoing treatment in the district hospital.

After she lodged her complaint with the police this week, a case was registered under The Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and rape and molestation sections of the Indian Penal Code by Ambejogai police.

The girl is a resident of Kumbhephal in the Beed district. Her father got her married seven-eight months ago when she was a minor. However, she had returned to her father's house as her husband was not taking care of her. However, her father refused to take her back.

So she was forced to beg for living at the Ambejogai bus stand. Meanwhile, she has lodged a complaint saying that even a policeman had raped her.

The police have taken action and took two persons into custody.
