Miscreant mimics Sharad Pawar over phone for a transfer, booked

Gavdevi police have filed a case against an unknown miscreant after he made a phone call to Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray mimicking NCP Chief Sharad Pawar directing a transfer of official. The chief secretary turned suspicious and examined the call to realize that it was a dubious one.

Mumbai: Gavdevi police have filed a case against an unknown miscreant after he made a phone call to Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray mimicking NCP Chief Sharad Pawar directing a transfer of official. The chief secretary turned suspicious and examined the call to realize that it was a dubious one, preferring a police complaint.

The state is embroiled in controversies over transfer of officials. It has become a bone of contention between ruling and opposition parties. Under these circumstances, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashish Kumar Singh received a phone call and the caller introduced himself as Sharad Pawar. The voice asked the chief secretary to transfer an official to a certain place.

The Chief Secretary turned suspicious and examined the call and it was revealed that no such call was made by the NCP leader. Ashish Kumar Singh has lodged a complaint at Gavdevi Police Station, Thane. A case has been registered against an unknown person in this regard.
