A young man was seen allegedly beating his parents with sticks in a viral video. The mother Shivbai Khedkar was killed and the father is admitted critically to a hospital in Nagar.

Ghatshil Pargaon: A young man has been accused of beating his parents after a video of the incident caused outrage in the Beed district in Maharashtra. Sources said the man's mother Shivbhai Khedkar died of injuries and his father has been admitted to a hospital in a critical condition. The man identified as Babasaheb Khedkar used to frequently beat his parents, according to reports.

No case has been registered yet. Meanwhile the Superintendent of Police, Raja said the incident was unfortunate and the matter will be immediately investigated and necessary action will be taken. While fathers have been revered widely across social media platforms, the video depicted a grim picture as it comes on Father's Day.
