Amaravati (Maharashtra): A Police Sub-Inspector, Anil Bandppa Mule had committed suicide on August 13 at Rahatgaon ring road area of the Amaravati district in Maharashtra. An alleged audio clip of a conversation between Anil Mule and Nanded district administration officer Ramdas Patil has gone viral. This triggers speculation that Sub-Inspector Mule committed suicide as he was fed up with the harassment by the senior cops. The authentication of the clip is not yet ascertained.

Anil Bandppa Mule, who hailed from Nanded, was a Sub-Inspector in Maharashtra police. He was transferred to Rajapeth police station from Nanded in 2018. He got a case to investigate which was pending for investigation since 2014. No arrest was made in this case till 2018 as it got transferred from one officer to another. From 2014 to 2018 the case was transferred to nine officers. Sub-Inspector Mule was also unable to make any arrest in the case. Because of this reason, his increment was halted by Deputy Police Commissioner Shashikant Satav. Mule told about this to Ramdas Patil in an alleged audio clip.
