New Delhi: The Maharashtra Student Body has demanded a refund of the examination fee charged by the universities and colleges across the state since the intermediate semester university exams have been cancelled. The students have claimed that since the exams will not be conducted the fee must be returned immediately or refunded. Many of the students have also taken up their demand on social media platforms.
Students have been posting on social media through the #RefundExamFee under which hundreds of students have been tweeting since the last few days. The Supreme Court hearing on a decision related to the UGC guidelines for conducting the final Semester Exams 2020 is still underway and the next schedule is scheduled to be conducted on July 31, 2020.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Maharashtra has asked a refund of 100 per cent exam fee to the students. The ABVP has also mentioned that since their demands are not met with, the universities will face protests from the student body.
